Covid-19 has had an enormous impact on First Nations communities and schools. The First Nations Education Administrators Association (FNEAA) launched the “Gathering Place Best Practices” initiative in September 2020. The goal of the initiative is to provide First Nations Education administrators and directors of education with a “virtual space” to come together and share information, experiences and best practices on ways to effectively respond to COVID-19.
The following reports and videos are from the Gathering Place survey and Town halls.

Gathering Place Report of Survey Findings:
First Nations Administrators and the Impact of COVID-19
The First Nations Education Administrators Association (FNEAA) developed a survey to further gain insight about: how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted First Nations communities and schools; and the specific challenges, concerns and innovative practices happening at local levels. This survey was distributed via the FNEAA website and other networking channels such as e-mail distribution. A total of 121 individuals responded to the survey between September 1 to 30, 2020.
